Highway 372 Roadwork Continues This Week
The spot repairs will continue until Thursday afternoon.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will continue its repair work on Cherokee County's Highway 372 between Monday morning and Thursday afternoon.
The repair work on the road consists of a method called "deep patching:" instead of simply shutting down a section of roadway, repair crews run a rolling operation to fix potholes and other problems as they come across them.
According to GDOT, deep patching is much less expensive than other repair techniques. This spot repair also reduces further maintenance costs.
Weather permitting, crews will be working on the highway between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the scheduled work days.
