Here are the five things you need to know on March 8.

  1. According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high around 62 degrees.
  2. Elementary schools are serving French toast sticks with syrup and sausage or a hamburger with baked tater tots, baby carrots and dip, and fresh fruit. Middle  and high schools are serving beef and bean burritos, seasoned corn and Spanish rice.
  3. Congrats to basketball player Sean Tate for making the Atlanta Tip-Off Club Team of the Year and Coach Jeremy Adams for being named Atlanta Metro Tip-Off Club Coach of theYear. Both will be recognized at a banquet for the Naismith Awards banquet later this month.
