Church Cited 70 Times for Noise

Creekview takes on a Broadway legend, elementary schoolers are being tested on their math skills, and a local church is too loud for their neighbors. Here are the five things you need to know today.

  1. According to the National Weather Service, there’s an 80 percent chance of severe thunderstorms today with a high around 80 degrees. Β
  2. Elementary schools are serving baked chicken nuggets or pot pie with rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, pears, and strawberries. Middle schools are serving beef ravioli, breadsticks, broccoli and salad. High schools are serving meatballs and meat sauce, pasta, breadsticks, broccoli and salad.
  3. drama department is in the final rehearsal stages for its spring production of Les Miserables. Patch sat with several of the stars to get a brief summary of a long, complicated story. Check out and be sure to head to Creekview on April 28 through 30 to see the whole show.
  4. Today is the math portion of the CRCT for third- through sixth-graders in Cherokee public schools.
  5. Should churches be cited for making noise? One Holly Springs church is. The Revolution Church on P. Rickman Industrial Drive has been cited more than 70 times for noise violations.
