Cancer Survivor Shares Her Story

Woodstock Elementary School teacher Minah Yacher was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when she was 21.

Cancer survivor Minah Yacher shares her journey to remission with Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Patch. From being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when she was 21 years old in her senior year of college at the University of Georgia to now being a special education teacher at Woodstock Elementary School, Yacher said she wouldn't change her life.

She is now an active participant in the Cherokee County Relay for Life which is this Friday at Creekview High School. The Opening Ceremony is at 6 p.m. with the Survivor Lap following at 6:45 p.m.

Watch as Yacher tells her touching story that begins with her CT Scan on Sept. 11, 2001, and is still continuing today as she shares how she feels like queen with other cancer survivors as events such as Relay for Life.
