The Hall County Fire Department's Dive Team reportedly pulled the body of 54 year old Robert Armistead of Lawrenceville from Lake Lanier Sunday according to CBS Atlanta.

Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Marietta - Marietta Patch

The Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery, which occurred near the intersection of Hollydale Court and Red Berry Lane in Marietta on Jan. 4.

According to investigators, a taxi cab driver for A-1 Taxi was dispatched to pick up a fare at a residence on Hollydale Court. When he arrived near the intersection of Red Berry Lane, two men got into the back seat while a third man approached the car on foot. See Marietta Patch for more on this story.

Funeral Set For Waleska Woman Killed in Crash - Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch

The Waleska woman who died in a one-car accident Saturday afternoon will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel inside South Canton Funeral Homefor Cortney Jade King, 24, who died from injuries she suffered in a one-car accident along Highway 108/Fincher Road near Ammons Road just east of Waleska. Suspected Drunk Driver from Kennesaw Faces New Charges - Kennesaw Patch

A suspected drunk driver from Kennesaw who allegedly hit an Atlanta police officer's patrol car faces new charges.

Scott Eugene Welker, 45, was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata around 11:25 p.m. Friday when he hit Officer Osbert Beckles' patrol car, Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said. See Kennesaw Patch for more on this story.

An overnight accident on I-85 northbound near Hamilton Mill Road developed into a hazmat incident when a fuel tank ruptured and began spilling fuel onto the roadway.

At 12:45 a.m., Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services (GCFES) personnel were dispatched after a tractor trailer transporting a cargo of dry pellets rolled onto its side in a ditch. A fuel tank in the cab subsequently ruptured, spilling fuel onto the roadway and grass according to a GCFES press release. See Dacula Patch for more on this story.

APD Zone 3 Issues Stolen Autos Warning - East Atlanta Patch

The Atlanta Police Department's Zone 3, which includes Summerhill, Historic South Atlanta, Peoplestown and Chosewood Park issued this crime update and alert with respect to the 2012 year:

Overall, crime in Zone 3 was down 15 percent in 2012. Overall crime on beats 301 (Capitol View) and 306 (Sylvan Hills) was also down.

However, we have had a spike in auto thefts. We saw repeat thefts of: Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Stratus, Dodge R1500, Ford Ranger, and Jeep Cherokees. See East Atlanta Patch for more on this story.
