Pink Power!

Students & faculty at Cherokee Charter Academy are thinking pink! Students wear uniforms at CCA, but on designated days in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), they're wearing pink if they donate to the school's Relay for Life team.  The idea came from Olivia Garcia who is a 4th grader and member of the school's Student Government Association.  Fighting cancer is a personal crusade for Olivia because she lost her grandmother to the disease. School principal Dr. Scott O'Prey says, “This year our Relay for Life team has decided to have a yearlong effort to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. I appreciate the support of the students, parents and staff in this endeavor.”
