Is It In You To Make a Difference?

"Is it in you to make a difference?" That question is the focus of STRIVE, Cherokee Charter Academy's character education curriculum. STRIVE stands for Students Taking Responsibility for Important Values of Excellence. The STRIVE role model for November was Gerda Weissmann Klein. Ms. Klein is a Holocaust survivor and human rights activist who was awarded the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. Her mission is to encourage tolerance and promote student participation in community service. The STRIVE character traits for November were Moral Courage & Perseverance.
