For the Preferred Meals "Healthy Lunch Competition," students chose a theme based on what a healthy lunch looks like or how a healthy lunch brings health & wellness. Students were challenged to create a personal goal for eating healthier.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Art students learned about rhythm in music and art. They were were inspired to create their "Sharpie & Tempura paint" art pieces through Vasily Kandinsky, a Russian artist who listened to classical musical music while he painted.
2nd & 3rd Grade Art students were inspired by French painter Henri Rousseau. Rousseau began painting when he was 40 years old! The theme for their "mixed media" art is "We Survived!" and used the school's Tiger mascot.
