Top 10 Companies Hiring Managers This Week

Here's who hiring this week.

Wages have been stagnant for most jobsover the past decade. So if you're hoping to increase your salary significantly, your best option is to try to make the leap into management. Indeed, the average manager's salary is $108,570 -- or more than double the average salary of U.S. workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So where are the opportunities? Who is hiring?

Here are the 10 employers with most management positions open this week: 

1. Pizza Hut: 6,355 managerial openings.

After 55 years in the business, Pizza Hut continues to expand, adding new locations nationwide. In its recent hunt for a digital manager, the fast-food chain asked applicants interviewing for the job to prove their ability to get a message across in Twitter-like brevity by limiting their "elevator speeches" to just 140 seconds.

Manager Review: "If you work fast and efficiently there are chances to get promoted."*

2. Petco: 6,291 managerial openings.

San Diego-based Petco's chain of pet supplies stores number more than a thousand across the U.S. and, along with its large supermarket-type operations, now includes smaller, mom-and-pop-style neighborhood stores, Unleashed by Petco.

Manager Review: "Petco is a very collaborative culture and the people who work here are great. I get to bring my dog to work and wear casual jeans all summer long. They have dog parks, foosball and a Wii as well as a beautiful facility here in San Antonio. They really are great about following their values: Integrity, Learning, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, Performance, Recognition and FUN!"*

3. Toys "R" Us: 5,846 managerial openings.

As the world's leading toy retailer, Toys "R" Us has 877 stores in the U.S. In addition to operating FAO Schwartz, Toys "R" Us also runs a robust portfolio of e-commerce sites including eToys.com. The toy giant employs some 70,000 associates worldwide each year.

Manager Review: "There are great people to work with and for and most of the customers are pleasant and looking for a good time. But there is no exit strategy for obsolete merchandise and management turnovers can be outstandingly high."*

4. AutoZone2,946 managerial openings.

With 4,500 stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, AutoZone is the largest retailer of auto parts and accessories in the country. Stores both sell hard parts, including batteries and engines, in addition to performing maintenance work for oil changes, among other services. Stores also conduct business with dealerships, garages and other businesses to sell autoparts and other non-automotive merchandise.

Manager Review: "There's good pay for middle management, but the days are long for managers, and very little time is set aside for training."*

5. AT&T Retail: 2,671 managerial openings.

Wireless giant AT&T continues to hire in large volumes, as many customers upgrade their smartphones and purchase tablets that require LTE data plans.

Manager Review: "A great working environment with plenty of chances for advancement."

6. Tires Plus : 2,941 managerial openings

Based out of Davenport, Iowa, Tires Plus has more than 500 stores in 23 states. Tires Plus offers products for the whole gamut of automobiles, from compacts cars to SUV's. Along with Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus is owned by Bridgestone Retail Operations. And in sum, Bridgestone is the world's largest chain of company-owned auto care centers.

Manager Review: "The pay is decent and you get good benefits. The atmosphere is friendly. But poor management can often affect morale and lead to poor enthusiasm to do work. The hours are inconsistent and the expect you to bend over for them without question."*

7. CVS Caremark: 1,810 managerial openings.

The CVS pharmacy chain has more than 7,500 stores in the United States, second only to Walgreens, and reported revenue of over $123 billion in 2012. It recently announced a partnership with DASH for Health to establish the Weight Loss Program at its walk-in medical clinics, MinuteClinic.

Manager Review: "Corporate is always looking for ways to cut expenses and increase profits... [and as] a Store Manager you no longer have a quality of life. The expectation is to be available 7 days a week... but they tend to hire the kind of people you want to work with."*

8. Panera Bread: 1,484 managerial openings

With locations in 40 states, Panera has carved a niche in the fast food market with its roughly 1,500 bakery-cafes. Panera Bread serves made-to-order sandwiches, which come with artisan breads. Almost a thousand of Panera locations are run as franchises.

Manager Review: "The people make the job. It's a great company with great goals and ideas. But it takes over your life."*

9. Vector Marketing: 1,303 managerial openings.

Vector Marketing of Olean, N.Y., is the domestic sales arm of the cutlery company, Cutco, which sells knives and other implements nationwide. Vector offers part-time, full-time and temporary [sales jobs] , including summer work, and says that experience in sales isn't required.

Manager Review: "The pay, flexibility, environment were all outstanding."*

10. Acosta Sales: 1,200 managerial openings.

Acosta Sales is a full-service marketing company with more than 20,000 employees throughout North America. The company focuses on the foodservice and grocery industries. Workers in the sales division make site visits to check on stock.

Manager Review: "The benefits are good and relocation is a possibility. But there is not too much room to grow and change your position. Such a big company that you are not as much of a priority"*
