Small Business Q&A: Three Sisters
When Carolyn Jones, Margaret Misseri and Mary Wuesterfield, the three sisters who are not triplets but say they're "all 29" opened a gift shop, they wanted to provide something for everyone. Now, Jones answers Patch's questions.

Patch: How long have you been in business?
Jones: Almost nine years. Before this, all three of us went to and taught at . As full-time teachers, mothers and wives, we realized time was very important and it was challenging to get to Roswell or Woodstock to get a gift.

Patch: What are some of the big sellers in your store?
Jones: Pandora, Vera Bradley and Brighton are our three big names, but we wanted to have a variety for everyone. We want you to be able to come in and get a Tervis tumbler for your husband, a baby gift or a birthday card.

Patch: What is the hardest part of being a business owner?
Jones: It's hard to manage inventory so that we have what our customers want when they walk in the door. We do special requests so we can order things for you, but we try to keep a good selection on hand.
Patch: What is the best thing about Hickory Flat?
Jones: The folks here are always genuine.
Patch: What sets you apart from other gift stores?
Jones: It's our goal to be welcoming and not exclusive. We have gifts for $3 and $300. Everybody has different budgets for different gifts and that's how it should be.
Jones also noted that the store offers free gift packaging with any purchase for the wrapping-impaired.
