La Parrilla Review

This neighborhood favorite was also our Great Escape this week.

Overview: La Parrilla is a great restaurant when you want good Mexican food. Most nights, it’s like you’re walking into a party, especially on the weekends. Outdoor seating is great on cool spring nights. And if your celebrating a birthday, expect a song and a free dessert.

Décor: The décor is very colorful and inviting. There are many wonderful Mexican art pieces on the walls and balloons are always available. The bustling energy of the patrons and the servers make it a fun place to celebrate any occasion. A mariachi band plays on the weekends. La Parrilla has televisions as well as a full bar with great margaritas.

Entrées: The restaurant serves chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. A great appetizer is the La Parrilla dip, which is served with chips and flour tortillas. It’s a cheese dip with shrimp, steak and chicken. On Monday nights, there's an $8.99 fajita special.

Service: The wait staff is always prompt and your meals come out very quick, so take time to have some chips and salsa and maybe a margarita before you order.
