Free Cat Treats, Toothpaste

Here are the best bargains at local grocery and pharmacy stores.

There are some great deals this week at the supermarket. If you are new to saving money on groceries, welcome. It is a much more simple and quick process than you probably imagine it to be and the savings each month can be huge.

All you have to do is save those coupon inserts from the Sunday newspapers. Write the date on the outside cover and keep them in a file folder. When you scroll through the best deals here on Patch, you will know exactly which coupon insert to look in in order to get the coupon that you need.

Remember that just because an item is on sale at a store, it does not make it a great deal. Patch goes through several deals websites and several local ads to find the very best bargains for your family. Not every sale item with coupon is mentioned here. We focus on the the items that are priced so well, they are worth buying extra of to save you money later. Once you get a  full pantry and freezer, you will be amazed at how low your weekly shopping budget becomes.

If you are a coupon user, please post how much your grocery budget is in the comments section. I know that personally that over the last few years on weeks where I focus on using coupons and watching sales, my weekly bill is always under $100 for a family of five. When I do not do this, my bill is around $200. I keep the same items in my house and do not change what I buy too much. Using coupons cuts my bill at least in half every week. That is a huge savings.

Here are the best deals for this week.
