Alpharetta Firm Helps Fund, Build Family's Cherokee Home

FishNet Security donates funds, volunteer hours to help a family of four build their Habitat for Humanity home.

FishNet Security's Alpharetta office has partnered with to help build a home for the Phares family of North Fulton.

FishNet Security donated $3,000 towards the build and sent 15 employees last Friday, April 20 to help with the construction of the home in Park Creek subdivision across the county line from Milton in Cherokee County. The home is due to be completed on May 19. The FishNet Security employees performed the last of the interior work and enjoyed a full day of painting. This is the third year that FishNet Security, formerly Logic Trends, has partnered with Habitat to help build a home for a deserving family.

This year, the partner family is Tadesse and Tuwers Phares and their two children, Abraham (11) and Bithanya (5). The family is originally from Ethiopia and came to the United States to seek a better life for themselves and their children. Mr. Phares held prominent positions in Ethiopia as a lawyer, judge and university professor. But for him, the dream of being a U.S. citizen was stronger than any past accomplishments.  The family is trying to get established and Mr. and Mrs. Phares are working at the Goodwill Industries.

At the worksite last Friday, FishNet Security’s Executive Vice President of Advanced Solutions, Ken Stone, presented the sponsor check to Russ Hayes, CEO of Habitat North Central Georgia.

“Logic Trends, Inc. has been a proud financial and build-day sponsor of multiple Habitat for Humanity homes prior to its recent acquisition by Fishnet Security, LLC, and I am proud that FishNet is continuing the tradition of sponsorship with our Georgia office build day,” said Stone, who also is the former CEO of Logic Trends. “Our employees and I have found that participating in the Habitat for Humanity program has provided us with life-long rewards that can’t always be achieved solely through business success. The reward of giving back to the community and enabling the dream of home ownership to hardworking, deserving families is a success all organizations should experience.”
