Beware the Barracudas!
The Cherokee Summer Swim Association has A, B & C divisions. Members of the "B" Division are Arbor View, Bradshaw Farm, Laurel Brooke, Orange Shoals & Woodmont.
Even with a quarter of the team's swimmers unavailable to compete, the Bradshaw Barracudas swam to victory over their "B" League rivals, the Orange Shoals Otters.
The final score was 545 to 359.

Jack Syers (Boys 15-18) -- 100 IM, 50 Backstroke, 50 Butterfly

Jaclyn Hill (Girls 13-14) – 100 Freestyle, 100 IM
Kristina Friedrichs (Girls 13-14) – 50 Backstroke, 50 Butterfly
Nicholas Janflone (Boys 11-12) – 50 Breaststroke, 100 IM
Emma Gelatt (Girls 11-12) – 100 Freestyle, 50 Freestyle
Brock Freeman (Boys 7-8) – 50 Freestyle, 100 IM
Lainey Blase (Girls 6 & Under) – 25 Freestyle, 25 Backstroke
Garrett Joseph was the Otters' top swimmer. He won these Boys 13-14 events: 50 Freestyle, 50 Breaststroke & 100 IM.
Joseph Olivares scored two victories for the Otters 11-12 Boys: 50 Backstroke & 50 Butterfly.

The Barracudas swam fastest in 18 of the meet's 22 relay races.
Barracudas coaches gave a special shout-out to swimmers that competed "up" an age group to help the team score more relay points. Ten-year-old Adam Hall helped the Barracuda 11-12 Boys swim to victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Noah Miller (age 10), TJ Murphy (age 10) and Evan Sengstock (age 9) helped 13-year-old Trey Johnston score a second place finish (worth 4 points) in the Boys 13-14 200 Freestyle Relay.
Next up, the Barracudas travel to Laurel Brooke to take on the Lightning. The Otters swim against the Wahoos at the Woodmont Pool.
