Five Facts About the First Week of CCSD Enrollment This Year

Just under 39,400 students were enrolled in the Cherokee County School District to start of the 2013-14 school year.

1. On Monday, 38,778 students walked through the doors of Cherokee County's public schools, which was 556 more students than attended classes on the first day of school in 2012. The anticipated peak attendance for the school district this year is 39,350.

2. On Tuesday, 
total enrollment was counted at 39,138, which was 706 more students than were counted on the second day of classes in 2012. It was also 360 more students than were in class on Monday.

3. On Wednesday, 
39,291 students were accounted for in the school district, which was 741 more students than the district counted on the third day of school in 2012. There were also 513 more students in class on Wednesday than there were on Monday, but the county had yet to hit its predicted peak enrollment.

4. On Thursday, 
the school district edged even closer to their peak prediction when 39,347 students walked through the doors of the various CCSD campuses. This total was 484 more students than were in class on day four of school in 2012, and was an increase of 569 students since Monday.

5. On Friday, 
the Cherokee County School District topped its peak prediction with a total attendance of 39,386 students. There were 394 more students enrolled on day five in 2013 than there were on day five in 2012, and there were 608 more students in class on Friday than there were on Monday.
