Creekview presents "Harvey" and "Trysting Place"

On Tuesday, October 25th-Thursday, October 27th at 7:00pm, Creekview Theatre will present two One-Act comedies, “The Trysting Place” by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Booth Tarkington and the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic “Harvey” by Mary Chase.

"Harvey" is possibly most known as a 1950 film starring Jimmie Stewart about the odd friendship between a man and a 6-foot tall invisible rabbit, named Harvey. "Harvey" will be presented as Creekview's Competition One-Act play. The Region 7-AAAA Sub-Region B competition will be held at Lambert High School on Saturday, October 22nd. Creekview will perform at 11:30am. The region competition will be held at Sequoyah High School on Saturday, October 29th.

"The Trysting Place" tells the story of a handful of romantic couples trying to have a private moment at an upscale vacation resort.

Creekview Theatre Director Matt Tamanini and Assistant Director Ralph Zaffino are directing “Harvey” and “The Trysting Place” respectively, and Tamanini is being assisted by former Woodstock High School Assistant Theatre Director, Drew Lawson.

The casts of both shows are filled with newcomers to the program and the stage in general. Nine of the 16 cast members are underclassmen, compared to only four seniors. Five actors are making their Creekview Theatre debut, and another six are making their non-musical Creekview debut. Finally, only four of the “Harvey” cast members have ever competed in the GHSA Competition.

Adult tickets will be $8. Students, seniors, and military personnel can purchase tickets for $5 with proper identification. To purchase these full price tickets, visit SeatYourself.biz/CreekviewTheatre. In addition, Cherokee County School District Employees can receive two complimentary tickets at the door, and any Cherokee County high school Drama Club student can receive $3 tickets at the door with their Drama Club card.
