Weekend Temps To Hit the 70s

The doldrums of winter are expected to lighten a bit this weekend with warm weather that's going to feel like early April instead of January.

The southeast, including Georgia, and states along the east coast are expected to see temperatures way above average through Sunday, according to the Weather Channel.

In Holly Springs, a slight chance of showers threatens an otherwise cloudy weekend as high temperatures Saturday and Sunday are expected to reachΒ into the lower 70s, according to the National Weather Service. The lows are forecast for the high 50s.

Enjoy the warm weather, as next week, the U.S. could be set for a burst of arctic air from Canada and the Deep South could feel it, according to AccuWeather.com. While forecasters aren't sure how much a dip in the jet stream would affect Georgia, temperatures are expected to cool.
