The Cat In The Hat Came To Hickory Flat

Hickory Flat Elementary school celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday for Read Across America.

participated in  Read Across America with a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss.  Students decorated their classroom doors for a contest to win a pizza party. Administration and staff dressed in costume or wore their school Read Across America shirts for the occasion. Parents were invited to come and read to children in the classrooms and were treated with snacks and drinks that were all labeled as food from Dr. Seuss stories. Children also got to watch movies of their favorite Dr. Seuss stories. A wonderful time was had by all at Hickory Flat Elementary School.
