Shopping, Skateboarding and Honk This Weekend

1. Event: Woodstock Market and Show

When/Where:  This event is March 4 through March 6 at the old Wal-Mart shopping center on the corner of State Route 92 and Canton Road in Woodstock. 

Why Go: This is an outdoor market and antique show with vintage items, antiques, plants, produce, and one-of-a-kind treasures the whole family will enjoy strolling through.

Pricing: Admission is free.

2. Event: Tour To The Top Of The Clock

When/Where: March 5 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Downtown Rome. Take I-75 Exit 290 (GA 20) west for 2.3 miles. Bear right on a ramp to U.S. 41. Follow signs to Rome for the next 21.8 miles, finally merging into U. S. 27 (the Martha Berry Highway). Travel a mile to Broad Street. Turn left and make another left on 5th Ave. Clock Tower is ahead and to the right. 

Why Go: Guests can take the 100 plus step climb to the top of the clock tower and learn about the history of the town. 

Pricing: This event is free. 

3. Event: Family Fitness Fun Day and Dance Off

When/Where: March 5 at the Malcom C. Mimms Boys and Girls Club in Canton. 

Why Go: This is a charity event that offers family fun, food, dancing and education for everyone. 

Pricing: The event is free. 

4. Event: Honk

When/Where: The Alliance Theater in Atlanta beginning Saturday, March 5. 

Why Go: Families will enjoy spending time together and seeing this play based on the well known story of "The Ugly Duckling."

Pricing: Adults are $30 and kids are $20. Attend on March 5 or March 6 and get two children's tickets for the price of one. For more information, go to their website. 

Event:  Progressive Skate Park

Why Go: Parents can watch their kids learn to skateboard in this indoor skate arena on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., or 8 p.m.
