Northside Hospital-Cherokee Welcomes 1st Baby of 2013

Ava Leah Wilcoxson was born Tuesday morning and weighed 7 pounds, 4.9 ounces and was 20 inches long.

A Woodstock woman's newborn girl is Northside Hospital-Cherokee's first baby for 2013.

Adrienne Cloud of Woodstock gave birth to Ava Leah Wilcoxson at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday.

Both Cloud and the baby's father, Joe Wilcoxson of Smyrna, couldn’t be more excited.

"We are so in love with her," Cloud said.

Ava weighed at 7 pounds, 4.9 ounces and was 20 inches long, according to a press released issued by the hospital on Wednesday.

Cloud, who wasn't due until Jan. 7, noted Wilcoxson "hasn't stopped glowing" since Ava was born. This is the couple's first child.

In recognition of the first baby of 2013, Northside Hospital-Cherokee gave the family a giant diaper cake with a teddy bear and other various baby care items.

Our365, the hospital’s in-house newborn portrait provider, gave the family a gift certificate for a free photo package.

The March of Dimes, in celebration of its 75th anniversary, provided a gift bag of products from the organization and other partners.
