New Sale At Publix Offers Half Price Items

Each week, Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Patch sets out to find the best deals for your family at the local stores. Shoppers who keep their newspaper coupon inserts marked by date, who know that just because something is on sale does not mean it is a great price and who read Patch for these deals every Monday and Thursday can save a lot of money at the market.

I love getting the emails like I have been getting the last few weeks from readers telling me how much you saved. Be sure to write a comment here on Patch and tell us all how much you are saving at the market using these deals and coupons each week. It motivates us all. 

There are some nice buy one, get one free deals starting aton Thursday. Remember that you do not have to purchase two items to get the sale price. They will ring up half price.

If you can, buy newspapers on Sunday morning. You can take advantage of getting a double paper for the same price as a single paper but this will give you 2 copies of all of the coupons. Kroger and Publix are usually sold out of the blue wrapped double paper by the time I get there  after church so you have to be an early bird to get these extra savings. 

Here are the best buys that I see at Publix for the sale that ends next Wednesday.

Kraft Mayo or Miracle Whip is buy one, get one free at  $4.39. There were coupons in the newspaper on April 10 for additional savings.

Pompeian Imported Olive Oil is buy one, get one free at  $10.99. Use this printable $1 off coupon and get this oil for $4.25 a bottle. This is a great deal.

Knorr Sides are buy one, get one free at $1.49. Here is a $1 off three coupon to save you more money.

 Power of Fruit All-Fruit Bars are buy one, get one free at $3. Use the $1 off  one coupon in the Publix Greenwise booklet and pay 50 cents for each box of six bars. 

Ghirardelli Brownie Mix is buy one, get one free at $2.79. If you like rich decadent brownies, these are amazing. 

 Crystal Light Drink Mix or On the Go packs are buy one,get one free at  $2.99.There was a coupon for more savings in the newspaper on April 3. 

Pop Secret Premium Popcorn is buy one, get one free at $4.69. There was a coupon on April 17 that will save you an extra $1 off two boxes or jars. 

Nestle Toll House Refrigerated Cookie Dough is two for $5. Use this printable coupon or the one from the newspaper on April 10 to save more money. 

 Oscar Mayer Meat Wieners in various styles are buy one, get one free at $3.29. There was a $1 off coupon in the newspaper on April 10.

 Yoplait Yogurt are 20 for $10. remember you do not have to buy 20. The price will adjust accordingly. There are printable coupons here, here and there were ones in the newspaper on March 27. 

 Kraft Philadelphia Cooking Creme is $2. There were coupons in the newspaper on March 6 for $1.50 off of one to allow you to purchase this item for 50 cents.

Edwards Singles Slices or Mini Pies or Singles Desserts are buy one, get one free at  $2.95. There was a $1 off coupon in the newspaper on April 10 which drops the price down to 50 cents each.

 Pepperidge Farm Three Layer Cakes are buy one, get one free at $4.19. Use the coupon for 55 cents off from the Feb. 27 newspaper and save even more 

 Pepperidge Farm Stone Baked Artisan Rolls are buy one, get one free at $3. There was a coupon in the newspaper on April 10 that will make these rolls 50 cents a package.

 Whole Fruit Sorbet pints are buy one, get one free at $2.99.  There were coupons in the newspaper on March 27 which will save you an extra $1 once doubled off of each container. 

Yoplait Smoothie Mix is buy one, get one free at  $3.19. Print the $1 off coupon twice at their Facebook page and pay $1.19 for 2 bags. 

 The best deals in the meat department include the following items.

Whole Pork Tenderloin is $4.99 a pound.

Publix Fresh Ground Turkey is$2.49 a pound.

Boneless Shoulder Roast is $3.99 a pound.

Pork Spareribs are $2.49 a pound.

Fresh produce prices are dropping and the choices for your family are great this week at Publix. 

Florida Sweet Corn On The Cob are 12 for $3.

Vine Ripened Florida Tomatoes are  $1.99 a pound.

Mangos are $1 each.

Publix Baby Cut and Peeled Carrots are $1.29.

Del Monte Golden Ripe Pineapples are $2.99 each.

Vidalia Sweet Onions are 99 cents each.

Hass Avocados are 3 for $5.

Red Seedless Watermelon 59 cents a pound. 

Publix White Mushrooms are two packages for $3. 

Florida Athena Cantaloupes are two for $5.

Florida Red Potatoes in the 5 pound bags are 2 for $5.

The pet aisle has some bargains this week as well for your dog and cat. 

Purina Tidy Cats cat box litter is buy one, get one free at $2.39. Use this  or this printable coupon or the one in the newspaper on May 1 for extra savings.

Pedigree Dog Food cans are on sale at five for $3.  Use this printable coupon or the one in the newspaper on May 1 for extra savings.

 Pedigree Food for Dogs in the 15 to 20 pound bags is on sale for $12.99. There is a coupon in the Publix Pet Savings booklet found at the store that you can combine with one from the May 1st newspaper or this printable coupon for some very cheap dog food.

Publix has some cleaners marked down and when bought with coupons, these make for some good deals. 

Lysol Disinfectant Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner  or 4 in 1 Bathroom Cleaner are 2 for $4. There are coupons in the April 17 newspaper as well as one in the Publix spring Family Gatherings booklet found in the store. 
 

 Soft Scrub Cleanser is $2.50 a bottle. There are printable coupons here.

Windex Glass Cleaner in several varieties are buy one, get one free at $3.39. There were coupons in the April 3 newspaper for extra savings.
