Free Items, Low Prices in Hickory Flat

Here are the best buys and free items shoppers can get this week at the grocery and pharmacy stores.

Each week, Patch goes through the local grocery and pharmacy store sales to find you the best deals. We match these sale items with coupons and follow the patterns and costs of food and household items. When prices drop to their lowest level, we include them in this list and tell you it is a great time to stock up. Everything in the article is at a great low price and worthy of you buying extra of. 

Here are the free items that shoppers can get atthis week. 

Zyrtec 24-Hour in the five-count box is $5.99. When you purchase it, you will get an Extra Care Bucks  coupon at checkout that will give you $5.99 off of your next purchase of anything at CVS. Use the $4 off coupon from the April 10 newspaper and you can actually get paid $4 to buy this product.

Bayer Advanced Aspirin is $3. Shoppers will get a $1 Extra Care Buck coupon good off of their next purchase of anything at CVS, Use the $2 off coupon from the newspaper on June 12 and the final price of the aspirin is free. 

Motrin PM in the 20 count box is $4. Buyers will get $3 in the form of an Extra Care Buck coupon when they purchase it. Use the $1 off coupon from the newspaper insert on June 12 and the final price of the Motrin is free.

Schick Hydro is $8. Shoppers will get $4 in the form of an Extra Care Buck coupon good off of their next purchase of anything at CVS, Combine this with the coupon from the newspaper on June 12, and this is free. 

Irish Spring Bar Soap or Softsoap Hand Soap is $1. There is a $1 off coupon in the CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine that shoppers will find inside the store. This makes the soap free. 

Orbit Gum is buy one, get one free at two for 99 cents. Use the $1 off of two coupon from the April 17 newspaper and you can get 2 packs for free. 

 If you do not mind doing multiple transactions at the store, do one deal and get the Extra Care Bucks for it. Then put the next item up on the counter and use the Extra Care Bucks as the out of pocket money for that item. Get the new coupon from this item and use it on the next and so on. This limits your out of pocket money when you first get started doing these free after Extra Care Bucks deals. This also is true for the Walgreens deals that are listed below. 

Crosssing the street over to , here are the free items that they have for you this week. 

Bayer Advanced Aspirin is $3. Shoppers will get a $1 Register Reward coupon good off of their next purchase of anything in the store when they purchase this. Use the $2 coupon from the newspaper on June 12 and this has an end price of being free. There is also a rebate in the newspaper that you can use as well and this will get a profit of $1 mailed to you.

Wal-Fex 24 Hour Allergy Relief  is $3.99. Shoppers will get a Register Reward coupon good off of their next purchase of anything at Walgreens in the amount of $3.99. This makes the final price be free. 

Blistex RPM for Men Lip Care is $2. Shoppers will get the $2 back in the form of a Register Rewards coupon, making this free. 

Colgate Toothbrush 360, MaxFresh, MaxWhite, or Total  are all $2.99 each. Shoppers will get $2 back in a Register Rewards coupon. There was a coupon for 75 cents off in the June 5 newspaper. It doesnt make it free, but 24 cents as a final price is a great deal. 

The new sale at has begun. This will continue through Saturday. While shopping, you will see the signs that say that you will get $5 off instantly at checkout when you buy five participating items. Be sure to keep track of your counts and buy in sets of five for these great savings. There are a lot of items in their 10 for $10 sale this week as well. This is a great week to stock up at Kroger on these items even though they are not listed below. 

 Always watch packages and displays for coupons and if it is a product you use, take a coupon from the blinkie machine, even if you do not plan on using it at that moment. Publix may have a machine for an item on sale at Kroger. Grab them when you see them but be courteous to other shoppers. I went in to the Hickory Flat Publix early in the week last week and all of the coupon booklets were gone. We all want to save money, but please don't take the whole stack of coupon booklets. 

Here are the best buys at Kroger this week that require coupons for the prices worthy of stocking up on.

Starting with meat this week, the best deals include the following items. 

Kroger ground turkey is 20 percent off. 

Kroger Value chicken leg quarters sold in 10 pound bag are $6.90, which is 69 cents a pound.

Kroger Value chicken drumsticks or thighs in the family pack are $1.19 a pound.

Tyson boneless, skinless chicken breasts are  $1.99 a pound.

Moving on into the grocery section, here are the best buys this week at Kroger.

Cheez-it or Keebler Club Crackers are $1.95. Use the printable coupon here for extra savings.

Special K or Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars are $1.99 each. there was a coupon in the newspaper on May 1 and there is a printable one here and here.

Bush’s Best Baked or Grillin’ Beans are three for $5. Use the coupon from the newspaper on May 22 for extra savings.

Gatorade or G2, sold in the eight-pack set of 20 ounce bottles, are $5.49. use the Kroger e-Coupon for extra savings.

So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage in the half gallon size and select varieties is 2 for $5. There were coupons in the newspaper on March 13 and on April 3 for this product. Shoppers can also print one here.

V-8 Vegetable Juice or V-Fusion is $2.49.there were coupons in the newspaper on June 5. There is also a Kroger e-Coupon  and printable coupons here and  here.

Juicy Juice 100% Juice is $1.89 for select varieties. Use the coupons here or the ones from the Publix Simple Summer Pleasures booklet for extra savings. 

Kellogg’s Cereal in select varieties or Fiber Plus Bars are  $1.99 each. There were coupons in the newspaper on may 1, May 1, May 22, June 5 and June 12 for extra savings. Watch the boxes for peelie coupons that give you more savings when you buy the cereal with fresh fruit as well. 

Fleischmann’s or Parkay butter or margarine are buy on, get one free in select varieties. Combine this sale with the printable coupon found here  for a great deal. 

Kroger Cheese is buy one, get one free in select varieties. I do not know of any coupons but this is a great deal alone. 

Gillette or Old Spice Premium Deodorant is  $3.49. There is a  Kroger e-Coupon  and there was a coupon in the newspaper on May 15 and June 5 for extra savings.

All-brand laundry detergent or Snuggle Fabric Softener is $2.99 each. there was a coupon in the newspaper on June 5 and there is a Kroger e-Coupon  as well that will save you extra money. 

Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue or Viva Paper Towels are $4.99 each in select varieties. Use the coupon here or here for the bathroom tissue and  the coupon here for the paper towels.
