Free and Almost Free Items Await You

Kroger, CVS and Walgreens all started sales with big savings for this week.

CVS, Walgreens and Kroger all have sales going on until Saturday. Be sure to pay extra attention to the deals at Kroger with their sale and additional savings if you buy 10 participating items. There are a lot of great deals to get free and almost free items at all three stores.  It is a good week to shop.

There is a new sale at CVS.  The best deal that I saw for this week is that Coke is  on sale for $3 per 12- pack. Not such a great deal alone, but customers will get $5 back in Extra Care Bucks if they spend $15 on Coke or Kraft products. This is a great deal on soda.

Remember, Extra Care Bucks are those register coupons that offer money off your next purchase.

Walgreens has a good deal on shave gel for men this week.

Use the $1 off one coupon on store display until they are all gone makes this item free. If you do not get this extra coupon, 99 cents is still a great deal.

Kroger has some great buys this week.   Be sure to check out their ad for the Mega Sale. I have pulled out the best deals with the lowest prices to stock up on for you.  When you buy 10 items off of their Mega Sale list, $5 will be taken off of your bill. The items below are included in this sale, as are many others in their ad. This is stock up time at Kroger.

Hormel Chili is on sale for 79 cents.    The Hormel website has a printable coupon for 75 cents off one can which makes this almost free.  They also have another coupon for 55 cents off of two cans which allows for more savings off multiple cans.  This is a heat and serve product and is easy to and quick on a cold night and also serves well as a game day party food.

Selct cans of Hunts tomatoes and tomate sauce are on sale for 49 cents a can. Go to www.hunts.com and print off coupons that will make three cans cost 47 cents total. There were also more coupons in Jan. 23 newspaper for additional savings.

Boxes of Jello are on sale for 75 cents. Customers can find coupons at www.coupons.com for 55 cents off of three boxes.

Ken's Steakhouse dressing is on sale for $1.69 a bottle.  Use your coupons from Jan. 9 newspaper and get this for as low as 69¢ a bottle. Here is an easy and tasty dinner idea. Get Italian dressing and pour it into a Zip-lock bag with your uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts and place in the refrigerator for a couple to several hours depending on your schedule.  When you pull them out to bake in the oven, they will be marinated perfectly. Side with potatoes or rice and a veggie. Super easy and the whole family will enjoy it. It has flavor but not overbearing.

Kroger has Kelloggs cereal on sale again. It seems like this has been on sale every week either at Publix or Kroger for the last several weeks. It is $1.99 here this week and if you have not printed and used all of your coupons from the Kelloggs or Special K website, it is not too late. Shoppers who have been saving their newspaper coupon inserts can also find coupons for certain varieties in their Jan.2 and Jan. 23 newspapers.

Kraft Singles are on sale for $1.69. If you did not use all of your coupons at the Publix sale last week, this one is even better. Jan. 9 newspaper has coupons and you can also print them at this website.

Remember that canned and boxed pantry foods can always be donated so if you are coupon shopping and can get these items for free or almost free but do not use them, please buy them and donate them.

Special thanks to refundcents, Iheartkroger, Couponmom and Iheartcvs
