Extreme Couponing came back on with a new season last night and this show causes a lot of discussion when it airs. Just to set the record straight, most people who use coupons, do not shop like these people do on the show. It is not realistic, nor is it beneficial to, well, anyone. No family really needs 140 bottles of antacid, 68 bottles of mustard or 320 packages of dry Asian noodles.

Save your coupon inserts from Sunday newspapers with the date written on the outside. Spend 15 minutes before you leave to go to the market to gather your coupons and make your list. You will see a drastic reduction in your bill every month buying the items you would normally buy anyway.

Here are the best deals at Publix for their new sale. 

If you shop on Thursday, be sure to bring the mystery penny item coupon from the AJC with you. It is good for a package of Publix brand sandwich bread for a penny when you spend $10 before coupons. 

Barilla Pasta is buy one, get one free this week. Combine this sale with the coupon from the Sept. 18 newspaper and pay 12 cents a box. 

Ragu Pasta Sauce is buy one, get one free at $2.19. Use the coupons from Sept. 11 newspaper or print one here.

Betty Crocker Helpers for tuna, chicken or hamburger are buy one, get one free. Use the coupons from the newspapers on Aug. 7, Aug. 14 or Sept. 11 and pay 55 cents each. There is also a Target printable coupon that you can use to get a great deal on this item.

Pace salsa products in select varieties are buy one, get one free. Use the coupon from the Aug. 28 and pay 90 cents a jar.

Campbell's Select Harvest Soup is buy one, get one free. Use the coupon from the Sept 11 newspaper and pay 75 cents a can. 

Nestle Carnation Evaporated Milk is buy one, get one free at $1.36. There was a coupon in the newspaper on Sept. 25 and there are printable ones here and here. 

Nature's Own English Muffins are buy one, get one free. Print this coupon twice and get them for $1 each.

Nabisco Snackwells Cookies are buy one, get one free. Use this printable coupon and pay 60 cents each. You can print two coupons. 

Cheeze-It or Snack Mix are buy one, get one free this week. Use the coupon from the Sept. 18 newspaper for an even better deal. 

Fruit2o flavored water is one sale buy one, get one free at $2.99. Use this printable coupon for an additional 55 cents off of each pack of 6. 

I Can't believe It's Not Butter is buy one, get one free. Use this printable coupon and get an additional $1.50 off of two. 

Aunt Jemima pancakes or french toast are buy one, get one free. Use the coupon from the Aug. 14 newspaper today since it expires on Sept. 30, and pay 85 cents a box. 

Gorton's frozen fish and shrimp products in select varieties are buy one, get one free. Use the coupon from the Sept. 11 newspaper and pay $2 a box. There is a printable coupon here

Banquet breaded chicken is buy one, get one free. Use the Sept. 18 coupon and pay 60 cents each after the coupon is doubled.
