Accomplishment: Caspian is a happy, loving second grader who excels in school. He laughs and plays despite the daily medical issues that come his way. Caspian has been diagnosed with P.A.N.D.A.S. (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) when he was 3 years old.  This causes hyperactivity, sensory issues, night time fears so extreme he would wake up screaming, irritability and anxiety so extreme he had fits and extreme OCD.  These symptoms reoccur to a lesser degree with every infection still today. He is usually on some sort of antibiotic to keep him healthy. Caspian has been through several surgeries and hospitalizations due to infections that seem to be almost constant.  He has a strict routine of medications, medical procedures and vitamins to keep him as healthy as possible. Despite the daily headaches, sinus pain and discomfort and all that goes along with this health condition, Caspian is a very happy, energetic 8 year old boy.

Key To Awesomeness: Caspian stays positive and has a happy perspective on life. He has great friends who always make him laugh. His big sister, Harmony, looks out for him and helps and prays for him when he is sick. His entire family is supportive an optimistic. His doctors do not give up searching for a cure and new ways to help him.  Caspian loves to hang with his dog, build legos and anything football related. His amazing outlook and support system will keep him moving forward to a healthy future.
