Bachelor Pad 3 to Feature Holly Springs Resident

Chris Bain was picked to be one of six "super fans" competing on the show.

A man is one of 20 people who will be competing for the $250,000 prize on the upcoming season of ABC's Bachelor Pad.

The new season will feature 14 people who previously appeared on either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, and six fans who, like Chris Bain, have never been on either of ABC's reality TV shows.

Although there is a prize on the line, there is the chance that some of the cast will find love while living together in the Bachelor Pad house. Bain told The Cherokee Tribune that he is "extremely picky" when it comes to dating.

"I’ve got two parents who have been together for 40 years and I value marriage,” Bain told the newspaper. “I want to make sure when I do get married that it’s the only time, so I am cautious.”

Contestants that fans of the Bachelor franchise may remember include Lindzi Cox, Jamie Otis, Jaclyn Swartz and Blakely Jones from Season 16 of The Bachelor; Ed Swiderski, who won Season 5 of The Bachelorette; and Kalon McMahon and Tony Pieper, who were contestants on the current season of The Bachelorette.

Bain is a native of and attended . He currently works at the , where he serves on the SWAT team.

Bachelor Pad 3 premieres July 23 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
