5K May Delay Traffic on East Cherokee Drive

Hickory FlatOUT road race takes place Monday, Sept. 2, at 7 a.m.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office wants residents and motorists to be aware of possible traffic delays in the area of East Cherokee Drive between Bart Manous and Lower Union Hill Road on Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 2, from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

The Hickory FlatOUT 5K will be running during this time. The route begins at Mount Zion Baptist Church and runs south into the Township subdivision and north again to the church.  

Motorists are urged to use alternate routes during this time.
