Suspect in BridgeMill Theft Arrested
Brhea Wofford of Waleska is accused of using a credit card at nearby businesses moments after the card was taken from a car in the BridgeMill subdivision.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a theft in BridgeMill.
Brhea Wofford, 20, of Waleska, was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of financial transaction fraud and entering auto, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
On July 1, a credit card was stolen from a car in Canton's BridgeMill subdivision. The card was used moments later at the Sixes Road QuikTrip. Authorities last Tuesday released security camera footage of a white woman leaving the QuikTrip after using the stolen credit card.
Wofford is in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $12,900 bond.
Additional arrests are possible, Baker said.
