In 2010, Mustafa was arrested for attempting to kidnap a 13-year-old girl who lived with her family in Holly Springs, said Lt. Tanya Smith with the HSPD.

Mustafa and an accomplice were indicted for allegedly enlisting young, female victims on Craigslist and Backpage with the goal of forcing them into prostitution in the Atlanta area.

The indictment alleges that Mustafa duct-taped two victims and held them in a closet before taking them to Homewood, AL, to have sex, according to the release.

The U.S. Attorney's press release also said that Mustafa allegedly text messaged a girl he believed to be 14 years old and instructed her to send him nude photos. After receiving these photos, Mustafa allegedly told the girl she could be his "sex slave" and went to pick her up. The girl climbed out her window using bed sheets tied together, but Mustafa released her close to her home.

It has not been released whether this is the same girl mentioned in the Holly Springs press release from the time of the arrest.
