Scott & my son, Chris have been best friends for the past 12 years. They both became Marines together. Scott was always at our house when the boys were in middle & high school. Losing Scott has broken all our hearts.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Mary. We'd love to hear more about who Scott was. If or when his family feels like submitting something about his life, tell them we're interested.

I wanted to say how moving it was to see all the people with flags and banners along the route to the cemetery today at Scott's memorial, and how Indian Knoll Elementary had classrooms of students out on the lawn with handmade flags. I've know Scott since high school. The things I will most remember him by is his service to our country, his smile, and uplifting spirit. He will be truly missed by many. My heart and prayers go out to Mackenzie family.
