Sequoyah Dancer Wins National PTA Award

Racquel Charles won in the dance choreography category.

Charles, one of six winners, was honored at an exhibition in San Jose, CA. She will get $800, a certificate, medallion and $200 will be donated to the Sequoyah PTA.

Her dance, "True Colors," exemplified this year's theme of "Diversity is..." by showing two girls "come together in as one union," according to her personal statement.
