The ceremony at the Cherokee County Public Safety Memorial featured speakers, choirs, bands and more.
The 11th Annual Patriot Day Ceremony was held this morning at the Public Safety Memorial in Canton, next to the historic Cherokee County Courthouse.
The event is held each year "to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York City," Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Tim Cavender said.
