Northside Hospital-Cherokee will break ground today on a new medical office building in Woodstock.

The hospital will hold a ceremony today at 11:30 a.m. at 900 Towne Lake Parkway. 

The four-story, 100,000 square-foot, medical office at the corner of I-575 and Towne Lake Parkway will feature a variety of outpatient medical services and contain a diverse offering of physician practices representing numerous medical specialities. It will also contain 509 surface and parking deck spaces.

The medical campus is under construction and is slated to open as early as August 2013. The new building is located roughly four miles from its Northside/Holly Springs facility on Sixes Road and about 11 miles from the campus of its replacement facility along Commerce Boulevard in Canton.
