Fire, Smoke Damage Cumming Restaurant - Cumming Patch
Mr. Swiss , a popular restaurant located on Atlanta Road in Cumming, was damaged early Tuesday morning due to a fire.
Division Chief Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County Fire Department said firefighters responded to a call around 2:15 a.m. When they arrived on the scene they encountered smoke seeping from the eaves of the building and a fire burning in the restaurant's kitchen. Man Shot Leaving Capitol Avenue Holiday Inn - East Atlanta Patch
Atlanta police are looking for two men who shot a man in an early morning robbery as the victim and his friend left a party.
The shooting, which occurred at about 3:40 a.m., left the 28-year-old victim hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. East Atlanta Patch has more on this story.
Overnight House Fire in Grayson Possibly Result of Discarded Cigarette - Loganville-Grayson Patch
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services responded to an overnight fire in the 100 block of Little Barley Lane in Grayson.
According to a press release, crews were dispatched at 2:47 a.m. and arrived six minutes later to find the two-story wood frame house showing heavy smoke from the rear of the home and flames burning the exterior wall and chimney chase near the back deck. Updated: Man Found Dead Outside, Partially Clothed, Identified - Cartersville Patch
Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton identified the deceased as Evan Hill, 25, of Middlebrook Drive, and said authorities have "several suspicions" as to Hill's cause of death.
