The Cherokee County School District has released a widget that allows parents and guardians to get accurate information about their childrens' bus routes.

"Parents and guardians requested we provide this service to make accessing bus routing information more convenient," District spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby said.

"In the past, they could access the information online by using computers at schools connected to the School District’s Network.  Through this new service, they can access the information from any device with Internet access."

The district's transportation and technology departments worked hand in hand to create the new tool, that shows when children should arrive at school and their assigned bus stops, the bus route the child is on, and how far away their bus stop is from their house.
