Foot Chase Leads to 2 Arrests

Both suspects are from Woodstock. One is 17 years old.

Two suspects wanted in connection with auto thefts in Acworth's Twin Pines subdivision were arrested this morning after a foot chase with deputies.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office received "numerous reports of theft from vehicles ... in the Twin Pines subdivision off Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth," said Lt. Jay Baker, the spokesman for the agency.

Birch, who also was charged with obstruction, is in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $64,135 bond. Walker is in custody on a $63,455 bond.

"Investigators have recovered a portion of the of the stolen property and are currently looking for additional property," Baker said. "The investigation is ongoing."

Great job done by the deputies who caught these guys. This is a difficult type of crime to solve and chasing a 17 year old on foot couldn't have been easy.
