Donald Judson Moran has been charged with aggravated assault and burglary after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stabbed a man multiple times.
A Canton man has been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing a man several times late Sunday night.
Cherokee Sheriff's deputies arrested Donald Judson Moran, 24, of Canton and have charged him with aggravated assault and burglary after an altercation at a home in the Woodmont subdivision, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called out to a home on Lyndhurst Circle around 1:30 a.m. Monday where 24-year-old Graham Royal of Alpharetta said Moran broke into the home and stabbed him multiple times in the face and back, the law enforcement agency said in a press release.
Royal said he was visiting Kimberly Thomas, 24, who lives at the residence, at the time of the alleged attack. Thomas told deputies that Moran, her ex-boyfriend, broke into the house, attacked Royal and fled on foot after the attack.
Deputies went to Moran's home on East Cherokee Drive and concluded Moran had left the location on foot. Deputies secured Moran's home and the suspect returned an hour later. He was arrested at his home by deputies.
Cherokee sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant of the home and recovered a knife in Moran's bedroom that is believed to have been used in the alleged attack.
Moran remains held with a $33,500 bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Royal was transferred to Northside Hospital-Cherokee where he remains in stable condition.
