Avery Elementary School students participated in Halloween-inspired science experiments on Oct. 31.

Students in Angelina Beal’s fourth-grade class and Tori Sinco’s fifth-grade class worked together to apply their knowledge of the scientific method in a hands-on way. They created slime, made colors swirl in milk using dish soap and watched chemical reactions between baking soda and vinegar placed in a carved pumpkin.
