2nd Suspect in BridgeMill Theft Arrested

Kristina Garcia, 22, of Waleska, was arrested Monday in connection with the July 1 theft.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has made a second arrest in connection with an auto theft in BridgeMill.

Kristina Garcia, 22, of Waleska, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with three counts of financial transaction fraud and entering auto, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Brhea Wofford, 20, also of Waleska, is in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center on similar charges. She was arrested Friday afternoon, Baker said on Monday.

On July 1, a credit card was stolen from a car in Canton's BridgeMill subdivision. The card was used moments later at the Sixes Road QuikTrip. Authorities last Tuesday released security camera footage of a white woman leaving the QuikTrip after using the stolen credit card.

Like Wofford, Garcia is in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $12,900 bond.
