Three winners of the PTSA's annual Reflections contest from Dean Rusk Middle School did well enough at the county level to advance to the state level of judging, at which they could earn scholarship rewards: Sebastian Mejia, seventh grade, second place in visual arts; Mackenzie Joy, seventh grade, first place in literature; and Ashley Bates, eighth grade, first place in literature.
